Required measurements
These measurements are required to generate a suggested size.
How to measure required fields
Waist
- Button the jeans.
- Lay them flat with the top front edge of the waistband aligned evenly with the top back edge.
- Make sure the waistband is straight and parallel, then pull it snug.
- Measure straight across the waistband from one edge to the other.
- Double that number before entering it here.
If the waistband is drooping, not parallel, or not pulled snug, the measurement will be inaccurate.
Upper Thigh
- Lay the jeans flat.
- Place the measuring tape at the far edge of the crotch seam.
- Measure straight across to the outside edge of the leg.
Measure straight across from the crotch seam. Do not follow the curve of the fabric.
Shoulder
- Button up the garment.
- Lay the garment flat, front facing down, with the arms in a V shape.
- Measure from one shoulder seam to the other.
Pit to Pit
- Button up the garment.
- Lay the garment flat, face up, with the arms in a T shape.
- Measure from the edge of one armpit seam straight across to the other.
Sleeve Length
- Lay the garment flat.
- Measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff.

How to measure - Help
Front rise
- Button the jeans and lay them flat.
- Smooth out the front rise.
- Measure from the crotch seam to the top of the waistband.
Back rise
- Button the jeans and lay them flat.
- Smooth out the back rise.
- Measure from the crotch seam to the top of the waistband.
Knee
- Lay the jeans flat.
- Measure 12 inches down the inseam from the crotch.
- Measure straight across the leg at that point.
Leg opening
- Lay the jeans flat.
- Measure straight across the hem from edge to edge.
Inseam
- Lay the jeans flat and smooth the inseam.
- Measure from the crotch seam down the inseam to the hem.

- Lay the garment flat, front facing down, with the arms in a V shape.
- Measure from where the collar band attaches to the yoke straight down the middle.
- Measure to the longest point of the hem.

The Sea Island Selvedge is a 12oz Japanese selvedge denim crafted from Virgin American Sea Island Cotton—the most luxurious denim we’ve ever produced. Sea Island Cotton is an ultra-rare Extra-Long Staple cotton. Renowned for its silky luster, uniform texture, cashmere-like softness, and exceptional durability, this cotton has a rich and storied past. Originally cultivated in the West Indies in the 1600s, it was once so coveted that British royalty tried to keep it exclusive. We offer worldwide shipping primarily through FedEx. Orders to PO Box addresses are shipped via Canada Post. Domestic Canadian shipments may also be shipped via Canpar or Canada Post. Note: we cannot ship to Russia at this time.

Returns
- We do not offer refunds; items may be returned for store credit (in the form of a gift card) within 30 days of order fulfillment. Items must be in new condition with original tags—unworn, unaltered, unwashed, and damage-free. Sale items are final sale and not eligible for store credit.
If the purchase was made in Canadian Dollars, store credit is issued in USD at the exchange rate at the time the credit is issued. At checkout, this credit is converted back to CAD.
